To enable managers and practitioners understand the concept and practices of SCM which will help them deliver great output through a more efficient coordination with their suppliers and customers. The program has been designed to suit the requirements of managers involved in SCM operational activities like procurement, production planning, logistics planning and warehousing.This program helps the candidate understand the progressive shifting of strategies from supply focused to demand focused as the business environment gets extremely competitive.

After the successful completion of the course, the candidates should be able to:

  • Explain and critically apply theories on logistics and supply chain management, operations and project management, business modelling and simulation.
  • Integrate theories and appraise strategies on managing supply chain operations within the context of global business management.
  • Understand the inter-relationship between logistics and supply chain management and contemporary social issues.
  • Gain insightful knowledge into the development of outsourcing and the role played by outsourcing organizations.

Certification


Each candidate is required to pass a written exam (paper based*) and demonstrate expertise in all areas of supply chain management. The questions are allotted on a percentage basis from each Supply Chain functions like Procurement, Warehouse, Inventory, Production and Logistics. The candidates must attain a minimum of 50% of marks in at least 4 of the above mentioned areas of SCM.
